Our Story
100 Cooks for our Community Committee is pleased to announce the 2026 100 Cooks for our Community benefactor is Young Life. The goal of the “100 Cooks for our Community” event is to raise as much money as possible for local non-profit organizations. In 2014, the first Dubois County community event raised over $114,000 to benefit the Indiana National Guard Relief Fund; in 2016, more than $245,000 benefited the E5 Foundation and Dubois County Leukemia Association; in 2018, $255,000 for CASA of Dubois County with expansion into Orange County; in 2022, over $200,000 was raised for Mentors For Youth and Crisis Connection; and in 2024, $210,000 was raised for SWICAC.

The unique fundraiser brings 100 local celebrity chefs together to prepare and serve their best culinary dish for the community. In addition, the event offers music, live and silent auctions and a chef’s competition that honors the chef who raises the most money for the cause. This event is exclusive to 21 years of age and over.​

This year’s event is scheduled for Saturday, September 12th at 6 pm at the Huntingburg Event Center.
Dubois County Young Life is an outreach ministry for high school and middle school students. To put it simply, we go into the world of kids, build friendships with them, and walk with them through some of the most pivotal and difficult years of their lives, their teen years! We believe that allowing them to experience adventure, build deep personal friendships, and become part of a community positions them to be the person they were created to be. Along the way, we share with them the most important piece of who we are, which is our faith.
